My New Job

After being graduated, having Euro road trip and Turkish summer vacation I started to evaluate career opportunities. Gladly couple of different possibilities came up
Ecofys BV/Econcern Holding was one of those possibilities and that became the one I go for as next carrier step. I’ve been working in Ecofys already 2 months now. It is multi national sustainable energy company which has new office in Istanbul as well. (www.ecofys.com)
I have been working in Utrecht headquarters in the department of Design and construction services as product developer. For now I am working on quite interesting project which I can say and share more about it soon. And of course itx92s again about sustainable energy, public communication and a lot of fun.
I am curios myself about the results coming up

spinnXS main working principle is patented already by Dutch company OPALIO.(Opalio.com) I did my master graduation project with in the same company Opalio. I designed SpinnXS as interactive public communication device for retailer market. This product can deliver the sale message or promotion to the potential customers in the public street. It energize itself by wind energy. The reflective type electronic displays on the meddium allows dynamic refreshment of content which is provided by retailer. This content can be sale information, product, logo of the company, vs.. Spinnxs spins by wind energy, but if there is no wind it uses the energy from the batteries to turn it self by generator/motor system.(generator can be used as motor) By the same principle of radar while spinnxs turning on its axis it scans for the potential customers who approaches. When it detects a person it stops turning by facing the screen to the person and pops up a special promotional message to the person. This message can be ” Please open your bluetooth connection to get our digital discount flyer”. So spinnxs can be used also sending digital promotional content to customers digital devices.
Further on SpinnXS can recognize customers by their ID of their bluetooth device. So Messages can come more personilized to known customers or members. For instance “Good afternoon, Mr. Yakamoto,” it says. “How did you like that three-pack of tank tops you bought last time you were in?”

With these features SpinnXS creates good opportunity for retailers who wants to promote their products effectively to the former and new potential customers on the street.

Road trip

Finally I am gradutated on 31th of march with master title MSc. Design for Interaction. My presentation of project and prototype of spinnxs all went good.
After my master graduation we had a road trip with Pedro and his car to Scandinavian countries; Denmark, Norway, Sweeden and Finland. On the way we visited friends Sengal in Gotenborg and Steven in Helsinki. Thanks alot again for your hospitality
After visiting back holland for a day we continue back to area of France-switzerland where Pedro lives in France and works in CERN(European Nuclear Reserach Center) Geneve/Switzerland.

After loooooong time…

It seems like I’ve forgotten to write some logs for a year
So Last year I did alot for my study and I did alot of travelling too.
I’ve finished all my courses and finnally I’ve started my master final project in opalio. http://www.opalio.com
One of my house mate Pedro brought us to Portugal, his home country. (This summer I brought him to Turkey too, Istanbul, Izmir, Efes, Bodrum.. )
We visited Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra… A week of student parties
And in a year I’ve been to Belgium, Germany, Poland(Krakov), Spain(Barcelona, Catalonia ),Czech rep.(Prague) with friends. Each ofthem was great experience and perfect vacation time for me.
A month ago I’ve been to Paris for ATHENS exchange course.
I did my last elective course in Paris tech with some other european students.
The course called “Discovering ones natural resources” was great opportunity to communicate between cultures and to have new friendships. Ok enouh talk lets have some pics..
